Cape Fear District - Training Committee
Trained Cub, Scout & Venturing leaders provide a quality, fun-filled program for boys. When leaders understand the whys and hows of Scouting, they are more effective in their roles. Trained leaders know how to use the available resources to provide an exciting and worthwhile program for the boys. Trained leaders also have confidence in carrying out their roles and responsibilities. As a result, Scouts receive a program designed to achieve Scouting's aims of citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness.
In addition, a pack, troop, team or crew whose leadership has completed training is also on their way to earning the Quality Unit award. Units recognized with the Quality Unit award demonstrate an accomplishment of providing a quality program to their youth. Outdoor experiences, advancement opportunities and fun are the reasons youth join the Scouting program. Trained leaders have the knowledge base and the background to insure the best program is provided.
