Flowing Waters World Outreach Center Needs Help!
Flowing Waters World Outreach Center located on Old Fairgrounds Rd down Hwy 210 operates a food bank called Shepard’s Shelf. They distribute food to those in need in the community on the first and third Saturday of every month.
The real time slot where they need the most help is on the 3rd Saturday when they have to unload their monthly shipment from the NC Food Bank while trying to distribute food as well. They are always more than happy to accept help on either dates, but the real need is on the 3rd Saturday.
I will serve as the point of contact in coordinating scouts who wish to give service to the community. Below are a few points for consideration in this:
- Please be in uniform.
- You will need to plan on being there from about 7:45 – 10:00 am
- Please ensure there is at least 1 adult present. Typically I will be there, but on months like September where I have an event, we need a parent or scout leader to help ensure our scouts are being scouts.
- I can only take the first 4 or 5 scouts who are interested.
- When you go, BE SURE to representing scouting in the best way possible
